Transitional Living

Transitional Living/Extended Care provides the women who complete our 90 day addiction treatment program the option of continuing their recovery at a reduced rate. Transitional Living/Extended Care is an excellent way for our women to stabilize, while feeling safe and supported when embarking on their new life in recovery. Transitional Sober Living offers a "higher level of care" than sober living homes, and is the optimum way to complete a residential inpatient addiction treatment program, and the best way to gain insurance for lasting sobriety.

Some residents of Balboa Horizons have continued with us for up to 12 months or more, and once they transition back to normal society, have had excellent success in maintaining their new sober life style. When some women have spent years repeating the same destructive behavior patterns, it makes sense that the longer time spent in our Transitional Living/Extended Care addiction rehabilitation treatment program the better.

Many of our women begin school and/or return to continue their education. Maintaining regular employment is also a very important aspect of the Transitional Living/Extended Care Program.
